「Those were the Days」（邦題「悲しき天使」）は懐かしい曲の一つ。イギリス（ウェールズ）の女性歌手メリー・ホプキン（Mary Hopkin）が1968年8月にリリースした楽曲。
ポール・マッカートニーのプロデュースにより、ビートルズのアップル・レコード第1号アーティストして、ホプキンはこの曲でメジャーデビューを果たした。
「Those were the Days」の原曲は、20世紀前半頃のロシア歌曲「長い道を」。
アメリカの男性歌手ジーン・ラスキン（Gene Raskin）がこの原曲をアレンジしてロンドンのブルー・エンジェル・クラブで歌っていたところを、ポール・マッカートニーが偶然耳にしたという。
